Domiciliary Care Worker required for disabled woman with physical and mental health conditions, Henleaze Bristol (BS9)

To create a small team with other domiciliary care assistants as well as support workers

I have Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and am acutely sensitive to the modern world – debilitated by mobile phones, WiFi signals, other technology, electricity, chemicals and perfumes, which significantly limit access to public places, work and social life

I am currently housebound with limited mobility

I am warm and friendly, personable and I value real connection with the people that work with me. You are valued for your skills and input. I am also earth loving, creative and spiritual. I’m looking for support workers who are warm-hearted, calm, emotionally aware, practical and nature loving, to support me to create a safe, gentle environment, deal with challenges, help me rest, heal and have a more fulfilling life

Domiciliary Care Role:

  • Food preparation and cooking

  • Cleaning (no electrical equipment, using a carpet sweeper and dustpan and brush)

  • Laundry (hand washing and wringing out clothes, with some washing machine use)

  • Shopping

  • General household tasks

  • Some messaging or phone calls on my behalf

Suit someone

  • Experienced in care work who is warm-hearted, calm and caring

  • Able to adapt and respond to changing needs

  • With good communication, internet and phone skills

  • Able to sit with difficult emotions and offer empathetic listening without the need to “fix the problem”

  • Physically fit

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Must be a non-smoker, non-vaper and non-perfume/aftershave user (due to employer's allergies) and ideally be a driver over 25 with a clean driver's licence
