We are seeking a Senior Technical Instructor to support the English teams in the Education department to support and monitor subject knowledge, including the English functional and professional skills needed as a teacher, as well as the specific curriculum knowledge required in relation to spelling, punctuation and grammar. Knowledge of the English National Curriculum is required.
Understanding and knowledge of basic data tracking systems like Excel would be an advantage as well as a willingness to engage with new technologies to support delivery and tracking of student progress.
You will work with experienced colleagues to support trainees in their development across the undergraduate and postgraduate initial teacher education and education programmes.
You will be able to enthuse and motivate students, be flexible in your approach, have excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills, be highly organised, able to manage a varied and challenging workload and take a collaborative approach to your work.

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed – £300m has been invested recently on new state-of-the-art learning spaces and accommodation while we continue to develop incredible new facilities to enhance our offer even further.
Frenchay campus has excellent transport links; as well as being located near the motorway network we are within walking distance of two train stations, our bus terminus connects us to the local bus and metrobus network and we also have a range of cycling and changing facilities.

This is a permanent, part time role working 22 hours per week.
Interviews are scheduled to take place week commencing 20 June 2022.
